i am MOVED!

wow, it went fast, the amazing ladies from church even got my old place spic and span like three hours after we started moving on saturday, "so you don't even have to go back there!" someone said! whoot. and all those awesome guys who generously donated their muscles.... ladies and gents, you are awesome, you know who you are, thank you bunchly!

God has soooo provided in the last week in so many ways. like someone BOUGHT and brought me a new(used) set of table and chairs, so now i can eat without sitting on the floor (like many of you know i did at the old place, in the bathroom doorway, on the little ledge there...), and they are so funky and retro i love them. eventually i might reupholster with microsuede or somesuch, but in the meantime, the colors blend right in, they just GO, y'know? you know who you are, thank you, i love you so much!

i am so blessed, thank you for all your help and engouragement, peoples!

sooo.....

in 6 days i leave for victoria for the gtt, we're going down on the ferry now.... and since i found out about that i've gotten car sick like 4 times.... i'm gonna plan on gravolin' up.... eventually i will be at a hotel for 5 days by me lonesome, i'm stocking up on ways to keep myself occupied during that time.... i sure can't afford a shopping binge, lol! but seriously, it's going to be an emotional time because of the counselling, so i'm making sure i'm packed up with things that will help me be comfortable and stay calm! ....where's that teddy bear?.....

.... specifically for the trip i have a long distance plan on my cell phone so i can stay in touch with my brothers and sisters, but i still have to find out about 'roaming charges'.... i have no idea even what they are, i've never travelled with my cell before. the idea is that i can call home and people can call me and i wont have to worry about the cost beyond my usual minutes (of which i have plenty of outgoing, and unlimited incoming). so, provided that there's no mix up with whatever the mysterious roaming charges are, i should be only a phone call away.

well, i'm at my friends house, and she's got dinner for us (see, i'm so spoiled!) i should go for now. ciao for now!

  1. Glad you got moved. I keep meaning to phone you but I never really get the chance. Hopefully, we will be able to get back in touch soon.

    Hope all is well!

THIS BLOG IS IN NEED OF AN OVERHAUL. there are posts from years back i would not be able to post in good conscience now. i plan to overhaul the blog, and either delete or add a disclaimer to those posts. but that is gonna take time....

The Radical Summons: "
Therefore let us go to Him outside the camp and bear the reproach He endured. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come." Hebrews 13:13.

"The Spirit never loosens where the Word binds; the Spirit never justifies where the Word condemns; the Spirit never approves where the Word disapproves; the Spirit never blesses where the Word curses." —Thomas Brooks

‎"God receives none but those who are forsaken, restores health to none but those who are sick, gives sight to none but the blind, and life to none but the dead. He does not give saintliness to any but sinners, nor wisdom to any but fools. In short: He has mercy on none but the wretched and gives grace to none but those who are in disgrace. Therefore no arrogant saint, or just or wise man can be material for God, neither can he do the work of God, but he remains confined within his own work and makes of himself a fictitious, ostensible, false, and deceitful saint, that is, a hypocrite." --Martin Luther (W.A. 1.183ff)

i will not let You go: "Jacob's sense of his total debility and utter defeat is now the secret of his power with his friendly Vanquisher. God can overthrow all the prowess of the self-reliant, but He cannot resist the earnest entreaty of the helpless." --Albert Barnes

i will not let You go: "Jacob's determination did not flow from his strength, it flowed from his weakness." --Charles Leiter
